The system uses the optimal hair removal wavelength of 808nm diode laser for deep penetration into the dermis where the hair follicle is located. In treatment procedure, a series of low fluency, high repetition increases the temperature of both the hair follicle and the surrounding, nourishing tissue to 45 degree Celsius. This more gradual heat delivery uses the chromospheres into the surround tissue as reservoirs to effectively heat up the hair follicle. This, along with the heat energy absorbed directly by the hair follicle, damages the follicle and prevents re-growth.
808nm diode laser machine is particularly effective to hair follicle melanocytes without injury surrounding tissue. The laser light can be absorbed by hair shaft and hair follicle in the melanin, and converted into heat, thus increasing the hair follicle temperature. Is the hair removal treatment painful?
When the laser is applied to the skin, patients feel some stinging, similar in sensation to the snapping of a small rubber band against the skin.
When I do the treatment, I felt a gradual build-up of heat into the area being treated, it's pain-free.
What are the possible side effects?
Possible side effects from Diode laser hair removal are minimal, but there may be redness on the treated area. This redness should disappear within two days.
How is the treatment performed?
A cool gel is applied to the area being treated. Dark glasses are worn to protect the patient's eyes from the light. With the patient in a comfortable, relaxed position, the laser handpiece is applied to the skin.
